Celebrating Ethiopian Gena

On January 7th, we had the incredible opportunity to celebrate Ethiopian Gena, the Ethiopian celebration of Christmas, in a truly special way. This year, Pastor Mike and Fasika graciously hosted the gathering at their home, and it was an unforgettable time of fellowship, food, and festive joy.

Joined by our friends, the Austells, Wick Jackson, and Charity Gurley, we enjoyed coming together to honor the birth of Christ with warmth and celebration. The day was filled with laughter, games, and, of course, Ethiopian food. Fasika’s cooking, as always, was a highlight, offering a taste of traditional Ethiopian dishes that brought everyone closer together around the table.

We enjoyed not only the meal but also the deep connection that comes with celebrating together as friends and family.
