Miracle of Provision
Over 300 meters of new wall & over 2 acres of new land
Dedication of the Retaining Wall
Yesterday, Sunday, April 28, we joyfully celebrated the dedication of our retaining wall and Christian Education building at the International Evangelical Church (IEC). This was a significant milestone in a project that started just one year ago, yet the journey has been nothing short of miraculous.
On May 1, 2023, work began on the retaining wall project at IEC, a massive undertaking that was initially estimated to take a minimum of 5 years and cost $2.5 million USD. The need for this wall was pressing—without it, the church property was at risk of erosion. But as with all things God ordains, He had bigger plans than we could have imagined.
In May 2023, all funds given to IEC were directed towards the retaining wall project. To our amazement, it became the largest giving month ever in the history of our church. People from all over the world responded to the call for support, showing us the incredible impact of a global community united in faith and purpose.
Nehemiah 52
We named the project “Nehemiah 52” in honor of the biblical account of Nehemiah, who led the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem in just 52 days. The significance of this was not lost on us, and we began this endeavor with faith and the belief that God would provide. Remarkably, 52 weeks after starting the project, we celebrated its completion—and at only 25% of the original cost estimate!
This is a testament to God’s provision, faithfulness, and His ability to do more than we could ever ask or imagine. At the dedication service, we took time to thank God for His incredible work in bringing this project to completion. We were also blessed to have Wick Jackson, our construction leader, preach and share the rich history of IEC, reminding us all of the faithfulness of God in past and present.

While the world may call Wick Jackson retired, we know that God is still powerfully using him to make disciples and impact nations. Wick’s leadership in this project has been nothing short of extraordinary. He led a team of over 50 men, not just in the construction work but in discipleship. The men he led participated in regular Bible studies, and over the course of the project, many of them came to faith in Christ. But Wick didn’t stop at sharing the gospel. He also equipped these men with valuable skills that will help them secure jobs in the future, providing both spiritual and practical support. W
As I write this on Monday, the rain is pouring down, and the river has risen. But we are not worried. The project is complete, the wall is standing strong, and we trust that God will continue to provide and protect. It’s moments like these that remind us of the deep faith we’ve learned over the past year.
We can’t say thank you enough to everyone who has been a part of this project—whether through prayers, financial support, or encouragement. It has truly been a global effort with hundreds of God’s people involved. What began as a physical need for a retaining wall turned into something so much more: a generational impact, a testimony to God’s provision, and a reminder that the work God does through His people is far-reaching, touching nations, and changing lives.
This project has been about so much more than just building a wall—it’s about people and nations. It’s about discipleship, empowerment, and community. And as we look back on this incredible journey, we see the hand of God at work in ways we never expected. This wall represents not just protection for our property, but a foundation for future generations of ministry, learning, and outreach at IEC.
We are excited for what’s to come as we continue to serve, disciple, and reach the nations. This project has proven that with God, nothing is impossible, and we can’t wait to see how He continues to move through His people in the years ahead.
