April Prayer Requests

These prayer requests are taken from our April newsletter.

Answered Prayers

  • All our needed (for now) paperwork has arrived and Steve received his work visa. This is a huge step, but still need residency and driver’s licenses.

  • Noah was having a small infection and I was looking through our first aid box and found the exact antibiotic cream he needed!! It was left from the family we bought our things from.

  • Everything went well on our quick visa run to Dubai.

  • Faith- Our faith is being shaped daily by dependence on the Lord in every way.

  • Food- We have found chicken nuggets and stocked our freezer.  We found pizza that everyone loves and even a restaurant within walking distance with donuts and America-style pizza and cheeseburgers!

  • Friends- The boys would all say they have met new friends.  It takes a while to form a friendship but we are on our way.  Steve and I also have found friends as well that we can be with as families. We were so welcomed here.

  • Fun- We have had lots of fun at a lake, at a “mall” with laser tag and ninja course, playing with our new pets, jumping on our trampoline, and going to friend’s birthday parties. And a quick spring break visa run to Dubai.

Prayer Request

  • Pray our remaining needed documents to be processed - residency cards and driver’s license.

  • Pray for us to find the right car for Margaret. 20-year-old cars here sell for what a new car cost in the US. Also, automatics are very difficult to find!

  • School next year to be full days and to allow sports - due to COVID restrictions they do not offer sports and school is only half a day.

  • Boys to continue to adjust.

  • Pray for peace as there is unrest in the northern region of Ethiopia.

  • Pray for the upcoming elections in Ethiopia in June.

  • Pray for IEC as there are challenges of congregational life during covid. Ethiopia COVID numbers are very high.

  • Pray for one of our elders whose wife died last month and one of our missionaries whose father died on Easter.

  • Pray for the staff and congregation at IEC as we have had a few unexpected changes that are difficult.

  • Pray for the IEC Youth Center construction to begin and for the cost to drop. Construction materials have literally doubled in the past two months. Getting a construction project started here is very difficult and moves very slowly. Pray for patience and wisdom. Click here for info & video (great view of the church).
